Our Name History
We are very proud to have one of the few breeding places in BC for the badger in our own backyard! After many months and many ideas, since we have a Badger Habitat, we wanted to use them in our theme.The famous English children’s novel ‘The Wind in the Willows’ came to mind involving many animals. Immediately our witty son suggested a play-on words and out came ‘Wind And The Pillows’. It fit like a glove!

BadgerWelcome to Wind And The Pillows B&B Retreat/Resort. We are situated in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. Our Cariboo Country Retreat is located at the far western end of the emerald coloured ‘Green Lake’ surrounded by miles of pristine Park Land for our guests privacy. We offer a 7,600 sq. ft. Log B&B built by the “Timber Kings” which has luxury accommodations complete with some gourmet meals included in our rates. Our tropical theme in the Great Room boasts a relaxing tropical atmosphere as you gaze out at a spectacular view! This is definitely a retreat to calm yourself, get away from the city and treat yourself to something special. Our Sunrise and Sunsets are some of the most beautiful in the world, and in the fall, you can experience the Northern Lights on clear nights. We also offer 2 rental cabins and many RV and tenting sites close to the water. Large groups and family reunions are welcome. Check out our different pages and see what suits you! The Seventy Mile Access Centre, or SMAC, is a non-profit society whose facilities include a Thrift Store, Housewares Department, Computer Access, Christmas Rooms, Library, Bookstore and Outdoor Play.

I have served as Director for TNRD Area E (Bonaparte Plateau) for the last 3 terms and have represented the issues concerning my taxpayers. I have a good working relationship with Community Groups and Ratepayers Associations and citizens concerned about the use of their tax dollars. I can be counted on to stand up for your concerns to look for a solution that will work.

The Boogie Bus is a fun way to meet people, have some laughs, check out destinations that you haven’t been before. Great for your events such as Weddings, Stagettes, Golf tourneys, Christmas Parties, Ball tourneys, Family Reunions, Wine Tours, Beer Tours. The Van can hold up to 14 people. $100/hr for private events.

BC SPCA 100 Mile House & District Branch.
While we do not have a physical location, we help hundreds of animals find new homes every year. All of our adoptable animals are cared for in foster homes but can be viewed on this website. Please let us know if you’d like to arrange to meet one of the amazing animals in our care. The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization which relies primarily on community donations to help animals in need. Please join us in the fight against animal cruelty!

70 Mile Motel offers pet-friendly accommodation in Seventy Mile.
All rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. You will find a coffee machine in the room. All rooms have a private bathroom fitted with a shower. 70 Mile Motel features free WiFi throughout the property.
Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant, which can seat 30 persons with additional 20 seats on the patio. The Corral Restaurant can be booked for private parties. It is licensed and offers homemade breakfast, homemade lunches as well as daily specials on the board.
